YouMote is not a universal remote. It is something new — a device that does what universal remotes can't, or don't do well. It takes everything you always wanted your universal remote to do and moves that into your cabinet. You control YouMote, and it controls everything else.
But it's not all or nothing. YouMote does only what you teach it — nothing more.
If your remote can send it, YouMote can learn it. Once configured, it works silently in the background — translating, repeating, and routing infrared commands to your devices. The technology stays hidden. The experience stays simple. Everything feels like it was designed to work together from the beginning.
Keep What Works. Fix What Doesn't.
YouMote has just three buttons: Learn, Erase, and Repeat. No app, no website, no web service. It takes longer to read this page than to set up YouMote.
YouMote's internal processing is fast. More than that, YouMote listens to your remote and waits just long enough to respond. The result is that it feels native — pressing the volume on your BD player remote changes the stereo volume like it was designed to.
Everything is configured and runs on-device. No round-trip to a server, no Wi-Fi dependency, no latency spike. The internal processor handles signal capture and replay locally with deterministic timing.
Macros are activated with a single button press — like a real remote. Once YouMote receives the button code, it executes the full macro sequence regardless of how long it takes. You don't have to hold a mannequin pose until it's finished, guessing whether you've held it long enough.
YouMote listens to the IR environment in real time and adjusts for codes it sees — preventing conflicts when multiple devices share the same IR space and respond to commands they shouldn't.
Existing IR repeaters repeat everything or nothing. YouMote has a much better solution. If you have taught YouMote a code, it will send out the translated code or macro instead. If it doesn't know a code, it can either repeat it or dump it — your choice.
Repeat mode can be set to always on, or instantly toggled on and off with a single button press on the YouMote itself.
Unwanted IR signals reaching the wrong device is a real problem in multi-device setups. YouMote can selectively block commands from passing through — giving you precise control over what each device sees.
Whether AV equipment, IR controlled lightbulbs, or some custom IR code system you made in your shop — it doesn't care. Because YouMote learns directly from the physical signal rather than a database, proprietary codes work exactly like any other.
If it's an IR-controlled device operating at 38kHz, YouMote can learn it.
When we say "any remote" we mean it. YouMote supports advanced universal remotes like the Harmony and Sofabaton as well as multi-device remotes like the Fire TV and Roku. This class of remote often sends out batches of codes with a single button press. YouMote handles these just as easily as a simple device remote. As long as your remote sends IR codes at 38kHz, YouMote can work with it.
YouMote can drive up to 20 IR emitters simultaneously — useful for equipment cabinets where devices face different directions or need signals delivered at different positions.
YouMote doesn't ask you to replace your remote or your equipment, learn a new system, or change the way you use your setup. It incorporates itself into your existing setup and adapts to how you already work.
Whether you're using a simple remote that came with your TV, a soundbar remote, a streaming device like Fire TV or Roku, or a sophisticated universal remote like Harmony — YouMote works with it.
Simple systems stay simple. Complex systems become easier to use. And as your equipment changes over time, YouMote adapts right along with it.
The goal isn't to change how you use your system. The goal is to make your system work the way you always wished it would.
A 60-second demo says more than any feature list. Watch how YouMote learns a signal and immediately puts it to work.
You shouldn't have to know which remote controls what. You shouldn't have to remember that the soundbar only listens to one remote, or that the streaming box has its own volume, or that switching inputs means picking up an entirely different remote and memorizing which port the BD player is on.
You shouldn't have to explain to your spouse, your parent, or your guest which button to press and in which order — every single time.
You just want to sit down, press power, and watch TV.
Technology should disappear the moment it works.
YouMote makes it disappear.
No new habits. No learning curve. No setup ritual before every viewing session. Once YouMote is configured, it handles everything for you and the remotes in your house simply start working the way everyone assumed they always would.
One remote that works on everything. No switching. No confusion. No asking for help to change the volume.
Your AV receiver, TV, and streaming box finally speak the same language — controlled by whichever remote you prefer.
No internet. No cloud. No problem. YouMote is entirely self-contained — works perfectly at the cabin, the RV, or anywhere a web service won't follow you.
IR devices that your smart home system can't reach. YouMote bridges the gap — no hub replacement required.
